Know how to make a Capsicum Curry



Here is the North Indian Recipe of Capsicum

Capsicum Curry With Masalas

Additives Used


  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 onion cubed and layers separated.
  • 1 bay leaf or curry leaf.
  • 1 cup cubed capsicum.
  • 1/2 cup tomato .
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek leaves or kasuri methi.
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste.
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds.
  • Oil as needed.
  • Salt and red chili powder according to your taste.
  • 3/4 tsp garam masala.
  • 1 tbsp dry coconut.
  • 1 cup peanuts, magaz seeds.
  • 1 green chili finely chopped.



How to cook ?

  • Dry roast the peanuts or magaz seeds and add coconut and roast them lightly. Then keep aside.
  • Add oil in the pan, add chopped onion and one green chili, saute them until it gets golden brown.
  • Add ginger and garlic paste add cook it until its raw smell disappears. 
  • Add tomatoes and saute until it gets mushy, add salt, turmeric, garam masala, coriander powder,mix them all and cook them until they get mix.
  • Grind all the items that is onion tomato mixture, coconut, peanuts to a smooth paste.
  • Now heat the pan with oil in it, add cumin seeds, bay leaf. 
  • Add onion and capsicum when the cumin seeds starts to sizzle and cook them until they get soft.
  • Pour the mixture which you have grinded and add some spice powders according to your taste, add water as required, cook until they reach its required consistency. Sprinkle kasuri methi on it. Cook it for 5 mins and your dish will be ready.
